The Juilliard String Quartet enjoyed an enthusiastic reception during their tour across Germany this Fall.
Elizabeth Richter writes of their Hamburg Philharmonie performance in the Hamburger Adbendblatt…
“Incredibly fresh, passionate and with moments for eternity, the US quartet served an evening that will be remembered… The Juilliards had a burning intensity and existential immediacy coupled with chamber music spirit.”
And Guido Krawinkel writes of their concert in the Konzerthaus Berlin in the General Anzeiger…
“Breathtaking: irritating, intense, impressive…”
The JSQ looks forward to wrapping up their Europe tour in the next few days with concerts in Wimbledon, UK. They will close their Fall 2023 season with a return to Lincoln Center alongside Itzhak Perlman at Alice Tully Hall on December 6th for The Juilliard School’s Daniel Saidenburg Faculty Series playing Brahms, Davis, and Beethoven!
